Project boards your clients actually open.

Stop chasing clients for updates. Give them a board where they check off their tasks while you check off yours. One link, no signup required for them.

Create your roadmap

Add phases for each stage of your project. Within each phase, list what you need to do and what your client needs to do. The board splits down the middle—your tasks on the left, theirs on the right.

See changes live

When your client checks something off, you see it instantly. No refresh, no "did you get the latest version?" Both sides stay in sync in real time.

Share one link

Send your client the board link. They click it, choose "Client" when asked, and they're in. No signup, no password, no app to install. They see their tasks and your progress—nothing more.

Every action is recorded—who checked what, who approved when. No more "I thought you were handling that." Accountability without micromanagement.

Built for projects where clients have homework too

Web developers, designers, agencies, consultants — anyone who sends content requests, waits for approvals, or schedules calls. Your clients have tasks. This makes those tasks visible to both sides.

You set up the board with your process. They click a link and see what's expected. When they ask "where are we?" — you point them to the board. No status emails. The board is the status.

Works well for

  • Projects with a clear start and end
  • Clients who will click a link (most will)
  • Deliverables that need client sign-off
  • Projects where the client has tasks too
  • Collaborations with another team who needs clear tasks

Not built for

  • Retainer clients with recurring tasks
  • Internal teams — you already share tools with them
  • Clients who prefer phone calls for everything

Why a separate tool for clients?

Your project management tool works great for you. But asking clients to create accounts, learn new software, and remember to check it? Most won't.

Inviting clients to your PM tool
  • Client needs to create an account
  • Learning curve for non-technical clients
  • Your tasks and theirs mixed together
  • "Where do I click?" support requests
  • Client forgets the tool exists
Serpent Collab
  • One link, no signup
  • Just checkboxes—anyone can use it
  • Their tasks on their side, yours on yours
  • Obvious what's expected of them
  • Visual progress they actually want to see

Six card types for real projects

Task

The simplest card. Add it to your side or theirs. Check the box when it's done — both sides see it instantly. Attach a link if the deliverable lives somewhere else. No comments, no threads, just done or not done.

Approval

Need a yes or no? Create an approval and it lands on the other side. They get one-click approve or reject buttons. If rejected, it bounces back to you with a reason — and you can resubmit. The bounce counter tracks how many rounds it took.

Ping-Pong

A mini thread that lives on the board. Write a message, hit "Your turn" — it passes to the other side. They respond and pass it back. Both sides see the full history. When it's resolved, either side can mark it done. Great for copy review, feedback rounds, or anything that needs back-and-forth.

Call

Propose a time and add a phone number. The other side can confirm, suggest a different time, or decline — all on the board. Once confirmed, either side marks it "Called" when it's happened. The phone number shows as a clickable link so they can call straight from their phone.

Meeting

Same scheduling flow as Call, but with a video link instead of a phone number. Add your Zoom or Google Meet URL, propose a time. Once confirmed, an "Add to Calendar" button appears so neither side forgets. The meeting link is always one click away — no digging through email threads.

Milestone

The road is split into phases. Each phase has a milestone circle at the end. When every card in that phase is done — tasks, approvals, ping-pongs, everything — the milestone lights up and the road fills in. Both sides see the same progress. No status meetings needed.
